My Stuff ... meaning music that I've created, pretty much entirely - a few exceptions.
Here are volumes of tunes that, production-wise, date back to 1997, I think
...though the songs may have been written as far back as 1980 (my music school days).
So about 1997 I began playing around with digital recording on my PC.
I had previously used Mac computers, as far back as 1985, for MIDI music production syncronized to tape.
My first Mac was a 512 Fat Mac. At some point a friend had arranged for me to beta-test early releases of 'Performer'
software by Mark Of The Unicorn (MOTU). I think I burned through 4 or 5 generations of Macs before switching
over to Windows.
Unfortunately those old Mac files are not readily available and are not posted here.
Nor are there any of my analog recordings from earlier years....someday.
Anyway, my first 'music PC' had a Soundblaster sound card - not excatly hi-fi,
but that and a Mackie 1202 mixer got my guitar, and sometimes a mic tracking into my computer.
Volume One is mostly from these early digital days.
At some point between Volumes One and Two, I purchased a dedicated recording interface.
Volume Three is a small handful of tunes grown out of lots of raw ideas, (50+ files)
that will eventually produce new volumes of tunes, seeded from this time period.
Volume Four is largely from my years in NC with focus on my tenure with the band, Funkuponya.
Most of these were written with that band in mind. A few appearing on the Funkuponya CD,
others were played live and others didn't make that cut.
But versions herein are my personal (demo) versions.
Actually, I consider the entire collection of these volumes of music as 'demos' or rough ideas of tunes, themes or grooves due to their experimental,
impulsive and, in many cases, unpolished nature.
Volume Five, Six, etc... is the most recent stuff; maybe 2011 thru Now.

Doug Carter - Dark River Projects Volume One
Back in the late 90s I began playing around with digital audio workstation recording. I needed source material with which
I could work to learn the ins and outs of the software, so I plugged in (my guitar) and started recording.
Though a few of the tunes were written years previous, most of the music you hear was
created 'as needed'.
Lots of editing (that was the point here) - drum tracks were either sourced from samples or created with MIDI
- keyboard parts were either played or 'built' by me.
This collection is the result of that work.
